This species is found throughout the Indo-Pacific excluding Hawaii. This is a wide ranging species but is uncommon throughout its range. This species is found in subtidal habitats in particular on coral reef slopes, on coarse sand and under coral reef. Can grow over 60mm but commonly only 30~40mm. A vermivore.
