Indo-Pacific. Oval-elongate, callous. Teeth rather strong, base with to brown. Margins spotted. tips blotched. Dorsum varies from white to dark purple and is irregularly mottled and banded. Nominate species from India to Japan and Hawaii. Pyriform, callous. Pale bluish dorsum, mostly with conspicuous blotch.
