Turbo marmoratus (Great green turban)

The “Great Green Turban” is the largest species of family Turbinidae. Its calcareous operculum is very large and perhaps the heaviest of all extant gastropoda. It also has a very thick layer of mother-of-pearl and has therefore traditionally been used in the Japanese raden art. – From Chong Chen’s post
