Definitely a unique new species of Amphidromus described in 2021 by Thach. This species is found in An Lao District, Binh Dinh Province in central Vietnam and it is one of those high living species living high on trees, 30~50m and very difficult to obtain living specimens. This species is characterized by the stout shape, thick shell (probably to protect from falling from heights), strong subsutural bands, conspicuous ridge at the lateral side and many short raised oblique ridges at the anterior body whorl at the dorsal side. Another feature is the pointed outer lip. No comparison so far with no species similar to this.
So far fully dextral species.
