Description
Pachymelania aurita (O. F. Müller, 1774) Tympanotonus fuscatus f. radula (Linnaeus, 1758) Rare freshwater/brackish water species. Specimen in the middle and right are Pachymelania aurita. You’ll notice the knobs are round. Left piece is Tympanotonus fuscatus f. radula with horn-like knobs. All 3 specimens comes from the same locality and environment. Originally found in mangrove rivers to the sea. Some erosions and chipped knobs. Lip tiny nick.
