Amphidromus contrarius rolfei – Superb

Collected at the forest north of West Timor, small town of Kefa. January 2018. Publication in Dr Thach’s new book “New Shells of South Asia”, 2018. A beautiful new subspecies of the contrarius. Being of a smaller size and stouter built. Named after our friend Dave Rolfe, an avid collector of shells and also having a superb collection of butterflies and moths, some which are impossible to get.
